Latvia is a small country in Baltic States. Latvia has 2.6 million populations, but not all these people are Latvians. Latvians live all over the world.
Latvia came independent in year 1918.18.november shortly after First World War, but until this event territory of Latvia was in other countries hands – Poland, Sweden, Germany and Russia.
Latvians started to live in other countries after First World War and during Second World War, because they felt that living in Latvia is very dangerous. Biggest number of Latvians Latvia lost during Second World War.
