Besides work has however under gone changes. Work as it used to be the preserve of men is no longer. As such, work has moved from or is moving from old male-centred concept of work to a new more feminine work. This is usually referred to as "the feminization of work". There is definitely the idea that women now excel every where-academics, sports achievements and what have you. We now see on a daily note how women are festooned with success in all endeavours. How then can work be for men? Women of course are not constrained by time or mechanical nature of work any more, thus work is rather more flexible and more of part time so you can manage your home as well as work and get paid.
What is even more is the single fact that work is no longer labour intensive as the case may be. The world is in a stage of- info-tech., what do you know; work has been broken down in bit. Men do not have to complain about the hectic nature of work, come on wake up, it's the 21st century, computer are doing the work, it only needs manipulation.
