Conclusions
In conclusions, we would like to emphasize that there are different types and meanings of silence. It is very important to know the difference of silence if communicating with foreign person or having a business meeting abroad, because if for your nationality it means listening, it does not always means the same for opponent. Not having a decent knowledge about it can lead to misunderstanding and even to the resentment.
After collecting respondent answers, it is evident that people know that there are different meanings of silence in different countries, but people mostly associate silence with something negative, like: shyness, rejection, lack of verbal skills etc.
The research question has been answered.
