I would like to start my essay with idea that people use and know a lot of way to manipulate with other minds. Nowadays technologies open up new opportunities, for example, media became programmable, interactive and easy changeable, newspapers could manipulate with images to emphasize and catch attention. But still language is powerful thing and the main tool for journalists and politicians. From history we know that politicians and spokespersons are masters in speech giving, good example are Luther King, or Ghandi, or M.Thatcher. Their ability to give effective, persuasive speeches was one of the reasons why they were popular, respected and powerful. Politicians are always exploiting the rhetorical power of language to meet audience’s needs and desires and at the same time to shape audience’s convictions and attitudes according to what is most appropriate for the politicians themselves.…
