Robert Graves’ “The Shout” is one of his short stories. He has written about thirty short stories, which are in collection “The Shout and Other Stories.”
“The Shout” is very psychological story. Author is trying to tell us that there are many mysterious events in this life; we can accept or deny these things. In this story he wanted to show us different personalities.
The first person is Walter Charles Crossley. He is a very intelligent man. His imagination and mind is mentally developed, but he is locked in madhouse for crimes, which he have done.
The second is Richard and Rachel. They are married and have a normal family life, but than suddenly everything had changed. Richard and Rachel saw a strange dream. At first they thought that this was just a dream. They both saw same dreams with few differences. Richard said that is because they are very close and see collective dreams.…
