-Jews believed as long as the kept these laws that God would protect them
-Jews believed God had given the Canaan
-Later, the Jews built Israel as their homeland
-Israel was then united under 3 kings(Solomon, Saul, and David)
-In 922 b.c Jews became swept up in migrations and conquests
-Israel split in two after Solomon's death, due to a revolt in the north
-Prophets of the Jews continued to develop the religion.
-Nebuchadnezzar captured 15,000 Jews and sent them to Babylon

-Chaldeans were led by King Nebuchadnezzar
-Chaldeans rebuilt Babylon after defeating the Assyrians
-King Nebuchadnezzar built the Hanging Gardens of Babylon at his palace for his wife.
-Chaldeans created the 4 week month
-Chaldeans passed findings of astronomy and astrology to the Greeks
