Wal-Mart must be willing to bend its uniformity to reactions of the local culture in enters. In Canada for instance, Wal-Mart's over patriotic style and publishing its circular in English to a mostly French speaking population did not work well. Its price strategy also did not work well in Germany where price-fixing by the government is commonplace.
Labour and Community Relations. Wal-Mart's anti-unionisation policy have grown employee and public dissatisfaction and the court issues will cost its credibility and reputation. Coupled with some perceptions of it being a bully and a tyrant, these issues might just be disastrous.
The game is not over for Wal-Mart as Lee Scott said they are not resting their laurels. Wal-Mart's accountability to its stakeholders, the community, suppliers and customers will keep its political/public affairs on their toes to balance its profit motives with goodwill to all.
Conclusion
For obvious reasons, this case study had presented substantially more evidence of the company's strengths than weaknesses. In fact, to sum it up, if at all there is a perfect, ideal retailer in the world, it has to be Wal-Mart.
