Project Development and Management "Innovative Umbrella"

9. Summary
During last two months authors have worked on Innovative Umbrella project. They developed the idea and purpose of the project, producing project definition; produced project work logic break-down structure, writing all the activities (tasks), divided them within team members and outsourcing companies, and preparing the budget and costs; generated project network diagram and Gantt chart, to analyse critical path of the project, as well as analysed events – risks, to quantify them, to formulate preventive and corrective action.
All the theoretical information from lectures and literature, plans, techniques, templates provided and additional studies were completely used to be more successful in understanding of project management. Each step, stage of the project development was considered as very important, because only clear and smart working on early stages will lead to the planned, prospective results.
Of course, not all steps were successful from the beginning. Only the analysis after each task helped us to understand on which point we have failed and to correct the mistakes. Nevertheless, it is hard to tell that the project management of “Innovative umbrella” is perfect, most likely it requires further development and more precised analysis. But on this point, the authors consider, that team has done quite successful job and the project management was made according all the requirements.
