Extract

In the minutes that proceed exercise the body is trying to get rid of all the lactic acid and carbon dioxide and to distribute the blood slower and more evenly then it was during exercise. So for the first few minutes the heart rate will still be high, it may even increase, to get rid of all the waste products obtained. Then the heart rate will start to decrease to return to normality as the body is returning to its resting state.
In conclusion it would seem that the males have a lower heart rate during every activity. This could be due to the fact that the males in this particular class are physically fitter than the females in this class, or that exercise is not as anxiety provoking to males as it is to the females.
