festival and tourism guides.
There are certain regulations that Tinhorn Creek Winery must adhere to when advertising or marketing their product. Although the number of restrictions is much less than in other areas of the world, all wineries must have the correct alcohol level printed on the bottle, within 1.5% in Canada. Since some wines are sold to the United States, to cut down on labelling costs, Tinhorn Creek created a generic label that also includes American wine restrictions, such as, the U.S. government warning that pregnant women or persons about to or presently operating machinery should not drink the product. In advertising, when dealing with a controlled substance, such as alcohol, businesses can not talk about or show someone sampling or consuming the product. In addition, businesses are also not permitted to advertise pricing specials because of the concern over excessive consumption.
