Doublethink-describes the act of simultaneously accepting two mutually contradictory beliefs as correct, often in distinct social contexts.

Thoughtcrime- describes an illegal kind of thought. The concept implies an extremely deep intervention into a person’s personal life that to most readers would be unsettling. The extent to which the Party can control a human being is dystopian to those who value freedom and privacy. "Thoughtcrime does not entail death: thoughtcrime is death."
Newspeak is a fictional language that is promoted by the Party. It’s a simplified and dramatically reduced version of English that removes any words that describe things that could potentially harm the Party such as rebellion or freedom.
