Film Review "Forrest Gump"

A film, that has become one of the most grossing film of all-time, has won six Oscars and been nominated for thirteen1, should have key to its success. To my mind, 1994’s Best Picture Winner “Forrest Gump”, which is comedy, drama, war film and historical film at the same time, has been so successful film, because of the film-makers’ message to their audience: “Life is a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get”2. Each person’s life depends not only on his behaviour and mentality, but also on different circumstances which cannot be changed by the willpower and actions of one man.
Having a belief in one’s destiny and an aim in life is sometimes not enough to achieve it.…
