Book review "Dr No"

The book starts with a British spy who had worked in Jamaica being murdered. Now this case has been sent to James Bond by his boss Mrs. M. James Bond is a spy who loves danger, women, fast cars, gambling and good food and drink. Actually, everybody thinks the agent has run away with his secretary who is missing too. So there is no job at all. Mrs. M wants Bond to get his confidence back because he had lost it after a very unsuccessfully mission in which he almost died.
Now Bond needs to see the last case where the agent had been involved. It is about an island called Crab Key. In the nineteen century it had been rich because of “guono”. The guono – the birds’ droppings – were full of chemicals.
