Some people argue that schools should refuse to provide information to help employers and further education. Solving other people's selection problems is none of their business. Let the business world and further education devise their own ways of sorting out who is acceptable to them.
Conclusion
Assessments must be in a form that useful, relevant and must be based on reliable information. Teachers who have known students for a number of years should be able to help other people come to know them, they should also be able to do so in a way that protects both the aspirations and talents of their student
So what can teachers do to ensure that what they have to say about the student is well founded, teachers must be careful in underlining the distinction between indisputable fact and personal opinion, and inviting discussion on how the assessment might be interpreted? At the very least, they must understand the processes of assessment.
