Livingstone was born in 1813 at Blantyre in a very poor family. There was hardly enough to eat, and was no money for education. So Livingstone at the age of 10 started to work in cotton mills- he was carrying packages and delivering messages. He liked to read books, which he bought from his wages. After reading books he decided to fight human misery. So he went to Glasgow, were he studied medicine, after that he set out for Africa as a doctor and missionary. He traveled to Cape Town, than to Bechuanaland. Voyages were long and very tiring, but he enjoyed every minute of his life. When he settled down, he traveled all round the country, visiting the sick, making friends.
After many more explorations, Livingstone st out to explore the Zambesi River.…
