Lexicology is a branch of linguistics, which analyses the words, meaning of the words and their evolution, the word-stock of the language, i.e. vocabulary. The word lexicology originates from Greece words lexicos, which means “dictionary ” and logos, which means “teaching”. It has an applied branch- lexicography, which deals with complied dictionary principles of comparing and grouping.
The word is a nominative unit of human speech, grammatically formatted and equally understood by all people speaking same language.
The word as nominative unit of human speech is a cover of the concept of object, phenomena, process, quality.
The word, which has some meaning, doesn’t depend on object, which it names. It can be clearly seen from that in different languages the same object, the same phenomena are called in a different way, for example, the word table in English, Tisch in German, masa in Romanian, стол in Russian. …
