PARABLES ...
The Jewish people have always used stories in order to convey principles they wanted to impart; some of the parables are found in the bible. In chapters 11 and 12 of the second book of the second book of Samuel we read of David, the king of all Israel who has fallen in love wit Bathsheba, already marries to a man called Uriah, David ordered Uriah to be placed where the fighting was fiercest in one of Israel's battles and Uriah was, as expected, killed. Then David married Bathsheba. God ordered the prophet Nathan to go and rebuke David. Nathan came into the kings presence and recited this story;
In the same town were two men, on rich, the other poor.
