6. Final Conclusions
To sum up, even though currently cloud computing cannot achieve “the plug-and-play simplicity of electricity”, its real strength is that it is “a catalyst for more innovation” (Brynjolfsson, Hofmann, and Jordan, 2010). Cloud computing continues to become cheaper and more ubiquitous, it keeps offering affordable, large-scale computation for organisations and it has the potential to bring about the Computation Revolution. Cloud computing helps to grow the business much faster, and to reach million customers in several months.
Therefore, even security issues cannot prevent cloud computing from becoming a consumer commodity. Over the long run organisation will learn how to approach the challenges and obstacles through successfully exploiting the opportunities and strengths of cloud computing. In the end, cloud computing should be embraced by organisations, if they want to enjoy the benefits and opportunities provided by the developing world of IT and technology.
