This book is written by famous English writer Mary Shelley, who dreamed all events in the book. Genre of this book is gothic science fiction.
Story takes place in 18th century in Geneva, Swiss Alps and Inglostadt.
Book begins with the letter of Captain Robert Walton, which he’s writing to his sister- Mrs Saville. In these letters Captain tells the story of Victor Frankenstein and his monster. Captain Walton is going to explore North Pole, when his ship becomes trapped in frozen water. Soon he and his crew notice a man on dogsled. It’s Victor Frankenstein, who’s sick and weak. When he gets well he begins his narration about his live story to Captain.
He starts with his family background, birth, and early childhood, telling Walton about his father, Alphonse, and his mother, Caroline. Alphonse became Caroline's guardian when her father, died in poverty. Her father- Beaufort was a long time friend to Alfonse. …
