7Conclusion
To sum up, marketing campaign had contributed to the success of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone from three different areas. These three areas of marketing campaign are publicity, advertising and promotion. Warner Brothers utilized posters, books, author's celebrity, stars interviews, trailer, and official website to increase the awareness of the movie and made the target audience be reached. Advertising and promotions are important marketing tools in today's movie businesses and command a greater portion of the marketing budget. They can encourage the target audience to go to cinema. Warner Brothers took advantage of all available media to advertise and promote the movie in the months leading up the opening of the movie. They used TV, radio, Internet to enhance the audience's interests of the movie and finally this audience made decision to buy the movie tickets. The important role of marketing campaign has been demonstrated in the market-driven of successful movie distribution organization competing in a wide range of market situation. Therefore, the movie marketing company should pay much attention to implement a successful marketing campaign, which will lead to the success of movie marketing and boost the box office.
