Trade was also controlled heavily by the British officials. The Navigation Acts were passed before the others. These Navigation Acts meant that all trade with other countries was banned. Colonists were also only allowed to use British ships for trading. Because of these restrictions on trade the colonists started to smuggle products in and out of America.
Unjust Acts, Taxes, and Trade were the ignition for the American Colonist's mind to dream of freedom. These three major events made American Colonists so mad at Britain that a revolution was started.
