My School and My Teachers

I was study at Imanta Latvian grammar school. Now I am the student of the University of Latvia, the faculty of Education and Psychology. Imanta Latvian grammar school is located in a residentional area of the beautiful city –Riga.

The school was opened in 1977. The main person in the school is its principle – Ilmārs Jubass. He has been leading the school since 1995. Thanks him for his activities that the school has the present school. More than 1200 pupils are studying in the school at present. There are profound programmes for some grades in physics, mathematics and foreign languages. There is also different competitions, meetings, debates, olympiades, out-of-school activities and so on.

I liked Latvian and Russian lessons. In Russian lessons we spoke Russian, learned fairy – tales, wrote words and sentences and played games. I also visited hobby groups, for example, drawing studio, wearing group (4 years) and platform dancing courses. I was dancing in variety art band „Debija” for 5 years. We werw traveling around Latvia and did performances in many schools. Every year in February we organized the project – week when everybody needed to choose a subject in which to present his lecture.
