1.The House of Stuart – important European royal house. Inherited territory by the 17th century, including the Kingdom of Engl. And Ireland.
2.The Gunpowder Plot- a failed assassination attempt by group of English Catholics against King James I. They wanted to kill the king, his family and most of the Protestant aristocracy. Also wanted to abduct the royal children.
3.The English Civil War – was a series of armed conflicts and political machinations between Parliamentarians and Royalists. It led to:
