Oscar Wilds life was not a dance on roses. He was born in Ireland 1854 and later finished Trinity Collage and the university of Oxford. He married to a rich Irish woman and they had two children. His big devotion was writing but it was interrupted because he was convicted for Sodomy in 1895. He was sentenced to two years of labour in prison, when he got out he was forced to leave the country. He moved to France. When he had fled France none of his old friends wanted to se him and he was not allowed to see his own children. It is not strange that he was found dead in a ragged hotel room in Paris three years later. Oscar Wilde died 1900, 46 years old.
