Constitution Day
Today I will tell You about another one of the most important national days of the Tajik Republic, and it is a Constitution Day. These days are celebrated every year on 6 of November. On 6 November 1994 year was first adopted the new constitution of the Independent Republic of Tajikistan. In 1999 and 2003 years in Constitution were made some changes. The 6 of November – is an official holiday and non-working day in Tajikistan. In constitution were write some ideas, that Tajikistan is a unitary republic with the strong president power or authority, that the Tajik language is the sole language of Tajikistan, which has an official status, while the Russian language is inter-ethnic communication language in Tajikistan, that the Mountain – Badakshan Autonomous Region is an autonomous region of Tajikistan and so on. The last changes of the constitution were adopted in May of the 2016 year, which tells us, that the president of the Tajik Republic Emomali Rahmon can elect more times, or can stay to power until his death. Because the president in Tajikistan is the head of the country and the government of the Republic, how also in the other countries of the Central Asia region, like Turkmenistan. Well, in Central Asia republics the president plays a very large and important role in the government. Well, because, on these days, so on the 6'th of November in Tajikistan happened different politician events and activities. The Constitution Day of the Tajik Republic stays before the main other two main politician holidays, such as Independence and National Unity Days, about which I wrote in the previous pages.
