Importance of human resource planning.

“Having the right person, in the right place, at the right time, is crucial to organisational performance. Recruitment is a critical activity”. (CIPD, 2009)
The effective recruitment and selection of employees is a fundamental HRM activity, one that if managed well can have a significant impact on organisational performance as well as lead to a more positive organisational image (Pilbeam and Corbridge, 2006).

Core areas of human resource management but are frequently discussed in a prescriptive manner.
However they are not simply techniques for filling jobs-they are also levers for organisational change, sustaining employee commitment and achieving high performance.
