 Hawk-eye- white man who had a long hunting gun.
 Chingachgook nad his son Uncas- the last of the Mohicans.
 Magua- Huron, who lived with the Mohawks
 Major Duncan Heyward- young English officer
 Cora Munro- twenty-three years old
 Alice Munro- eighteen years old
Also in story there are Alice and Cora father General Munro who was the commander of the English army at Fort William Henry, General Webb- commander of the English army at Fort Edward, General Montcalm- commander of the French army and Tamenund- old chief.
