All team members have diverse attributes, which is a positive quality for the team. Addressing a task from many perspectives leads to creative ideas and outstanding problem solving skills.
Consequently, the men and women of this learning team work well together. This team is open to and appreciative of the alternative lifestyles of gays and lesbians. Furthermore, the team understands the rich diversity this population can bring to a team. The gender diversity increases the overall effectiveness of the team by providing a variety of communication styles and points of view. The team understands the rights of individuals to practice their religious beliefs, but realizes those beliefs can be divisive. The team, therefore, avoids topics specific to any one religion in particular, opting instead to embrace the high moral standards associated with religion in general. The team comprises a variety of professionals that work in a wide range of occupations. The team is stronger due to this occupational diversity because of the different experiences each team member offers. All of this diversity serves to enrich the team by offering an array of unique experiences, perspectives, and insights that allow the team to operate most effectively and to produce a more well-rounded and diverse product as a result.
