Nowadays a lot of people say that Olympic Games are the biggest, the most important and the most longstanding event in mankinds hystory. Undoubtedly it is very remarkable event, however they do not bring only bright impressions and feelings. The aim of this essay is to decide – are the Olympic games only the simbol of friendship and peace or good way to earn money?
Let us start by considering the positive aspects. It is unwritten rule when these games are happening everyone on the world have to put down weapons and stop fighting. The competitors from a lot of countries get in touch with other sportists, they make new friends and they get closer to each other. Even the Olympic symbolic – five circles, mean five continents, which make stronger friendship between participants of games. So this is strong reason to demonstrante the Olympic games are the way of making peace. Another argument is that Olympics promote better relationship and tolerance between different cultures and religions. While these games are going on, the crack between races visibly disappears. Everyone is busy thinking about winning, so they do not worry about conflicts and fights. This big sport event makes people and world more peaceful and generous, indeed.
