Finland is an ideal country to visit if you enjoy outdoor activities. In summer the long hours of daylight provide opportunities for trekking, cycling, roller-blading, canoeing and boating. You can also attend summer festivals or simply enjoy the sunshine in parks and outdoor cafes.
There is quite a virgin landscape, so you can see beautiful views at every time of year.
Finland has some decent ski centers, particularly in Lapland. These centers offer hundreds of kilometers of cross- country skiing trails where you can enjoy skiing as much as you want. Other winter activities unique to Finland include ice- fishing, dog- sledging, reindeer- sleigh safaris, and snowmobile touring and snowshoeing.
Music is a big part of Finnish culture, especially in summer, when music festivals are staged all over the country. As well as traditional dance bands, you will find plenty of jazz, folk, classical and modern electronic music playing in a variety of venues.
In Finland is a high standard of modern architecture, so there you can see superb examples of modern building. Unfortunately much great Finnish architecture is overshadowed by huge supermarkets that dominate towns and villages.…
