The theme of the present paper is “English as a Means of Communication between the West and the East”. The reasons for writing a paper on this topic are numerous. Today English is a language used internationally. Hundreds of millions of people speak English as a second or foreign language. Consequently, the number of non-native speakers of English is already higher than the number of native speakers. The rapid pace of globalization has contributed to the growing contacts of peoples from different countries. Intercultural communication is on the increase. When cultures meet, often occur cultural misunderstandings, because different cultures percieve things differently. Therefore, the aim of the paper is:
to explore the varieties of English and to determine the main differences in communication between the representatives of different cultures.…
