While reading chapter 1 „ Working with people”, I found many useful ideas about the ways to teach, but I also found myself questioning some of his suggestions. I agree that it is impossible to learn a language by listening to somebody talking about it (seems very obvious to me), and a teacher needs to provide activities so the pupils learn already by doing the activity. But I think that a teacher should keep in mind that his lesson is not the only one during the day and if the English lesson follows Sports than the students might be exhausted to do an activity. He also accents the importance of a teacher to let his/ her students learn themselves while she is in charge of the process, but what if some of the students just won`t participate or do their homework?…
