7. Silver guards against inflation.
As it was mentioned before- gold and silver hold their value within themselves. Paper money does not. A country like the United States is printing money like crazy (see chart). It means that the supply of money is increased and there’s more dollars. And this means that one dollar is worth less. The governments are stealing the value away from your money.
This makes the prices rice and that’s what most people call inflation (inflation could be considered what the word indicates- inflation of monetary supply). Silver is a commodity-it’s price will rise with inflation. And it has a good chance of outpacing it too.
If you just hold your money in a drawer it will lose its value when inflation strikes. If you invest it in silver you will get more value back because the silver price is very likely to rise.

8. You don’t need a lot to start.
Silver is cheap. Not as cheap as it used to be but still-cheap. 40$ is something a lot people can afford. As long as you find out the basics so you don’t make a bad deal- you can buy silver stocks online. Banks will even keep your silver in their vaults for you if you pay a little extra.
You also won’t need to worry- because unlike money silver can’t lose all its value. Unlike a company it can’t go bankrupt. It is valuable for what it is.
