In the USA, preschool starts about at the age of 3, then children enter elementary school at the age of 6, which lasts for 6 years. It is followed by high school, and in the end, they attend university or college.
I went to kindergarten at the age of 3. Then, I started primary school when I was 7, and I
finished it at the age of 15. I did not know if I wanted to learn a trade, or if I wanted to
attend university later, so I decided to continue my studies at a secondary grammar school. I chose Zrínyi Ilona Secondary Grammar School. I chose English as my main subject, so my first
year was a „zero” year, when I had 18 English and 3 French lessons a week. From the next year, I started learning History, Geography and Civilisation in English, and later I will have to take my final History and Civilisation exams in this language too. Right now I am in my fourth
year, so next year I will finish. I would like to go to university too, though I am not sure what I would like to study yet.
I am glad that I had chosen this school because this way I can reach a very high level of English by the end of the fifth year.
