Marketing Ethics

This part of the chapter is devoted to marketing ethics. So let us research what this term means and what are the problems of this topic.

Ethics are our beliefs about what is right and what is wrong. These beliefs should constrain our decision making process. It is called exercising ethical standards. Marketing planners have to live with their professional behavior and decisions in the same way like they have to live with their professional behavior and decisions. If there is no personal ethics, and the company does not mind what the marketing executive does to achieve financial goals, then the situation can end quite sadly - with a conflict. So, why are these ethics of marketing planners so important? Because the values of marketing planners expressed in what they make and how they sell set a moral tone in and beyond the market place.

Šī nodaļa apspriež biznesa ētikas modeļus. Viens modelis iestājas par to, ka cilvēkiem tā īsti nevajag ētiku, un cits iestājas par to, ka tāds izmēģināts un derīgs ētikas kodekss neeksistē. Šāda pieeja vismaz mūs apturēs no izvairīšanās vai ētikas jautājumu atlikšanas. Mēs arī varam iziet no pieredzes ar labāku sapratni par to, kas mēs esam, un kāpēc un kā mēs darām savu izvēli.…
