Conclusions
After researching and writing this project, I come up with following conclusions:
• Most common language in whole word is English. And largest group who use English is non-native speakers, which are increasing. ELF is a language, what is adopted as a common language between speakers whose native languages are different.
• Problems of ELF generally fall into three opinions: 1) ELF consists of learner errors rather than authentic variation; 2) ELF scholars are perpetuating the idea that ELF is a reified variety of English; and 3) ELF is upholding notions of neutrality in the face of global domination through languages and discourse. Some of the proponents of ELF thinks that ELF has own mind, norms that makes problem for ENL.
• English is globally recognized as the language of international business communication. The dominance of BELF in the international business arena is supported by the introduction of English as the official corporate language in several Europe-based multinational companies (MNCs). Every country has own cultural norms. To make good business conversation without misunderstandings, you must understand their cultural norms. These norms are many centuries old. And they effect ELF conversation.
