I have chosen The Baltic Times (May 20 – 26, 2004) to look up for different compounds. A copy of thirteenth page of the newspaper which I was looking through is added at the end.

Here are my found compounds involved in the sentence (as written in the newspaper):

As predicted, Zalgiris clenched the Lithuanian Basketball League title for the fourth consecutive year on May 15, defeating Lietuvos rytas 88-70 in Vilnius in the final match of the league’s championship tournament.
While Zalgiris’ coaching staff and players celebrated the victory – the team’s ninth title in the history of the LKL – after sweeping Lietuvos rytas in the best-of-seven series, onlookers called the decisive win a confidence-booster after the team’s crushing defeat to Maccabi last month in the Euroleague tournament.
In spite of the lopsided final result, the first half of the match proved a nail-biter, as Zalgiris managed to gain only a two-point lead by the halftime buzzer.

Aside from slumdunks and breakaways, fans and players alike were treated to a special surprise during a pause in the second half when a woman posing as a dancer ran onto the court and stripped off her clothes.
Wearing nothing but a miniskirt, the woman skipped over to the Lietuvos rytas bench, and after greeting the team’s players, placed her breasts on coach Kestutis Kemzura’s playboard.
In the locker room following the match, players and coach alike indulged in the hallowed team tradition of smoking victory cigars.
Former boxing heavyweight champion Riddock Bowe was released from prison May 17 after serving a 17-month sentence for kidnapping his first wife and their children in 1998.
After the third game in the first-to-four series of playoffs, the daily newspaper Diena ran the headline: „Ventspils can order the champagne.”
Transsexuals have been given the official go-ahead to compete on the Olympics for the first time.
The international Olympic Committee approved a proposal to allow athletes who have undergone sex-change surgery to participate in the games if their new gender has been legally recognized and they have gone through a minimum two-year period of postoperative hormone therapy.
Thailand’s billionaire Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra says his 60-million pound bid for a 30 percent stake in the English soccer side Liverpool has been accepted by the club “In principle”.
Liverpool has already rejected a 73-million pound bid by Steve Morgan, a building tycoon and lifelong fan of the club. …
