Conclusion
The UK and Latvia – two European countries but with so different culture, different history and different position in nowadays. But soon these two will have the same rights, same positions in the EU.
Of course because of the fact that Latvia is joining the EU 30 years later positions in this organization can not be the same. Most of all they will differ in cases when the population, the standard of living and historical twists and turns will be the factors for participation in main EU’s institutions. For example European Parliament (elected by the peoples of the Member States) and Council of the European Union (representing the governments of the Member States).
But never the less Latvia will have the same opportunities to prove its necessity in the EU’s family. For some 2 first years it will also be amazing possibility to improve and work together with such warhorse as the UK. It is also important to remember that all parameters of high living standard that we are bent on are not dependent from political actions but also from each citizen of the country. That will help Latvia to become more likely the UK – one of the greatest countries of all times and will also help in some years stand near the UK just as it should be.
