Methodist
1. John Wesley - an Anglican priest.
2. The final authority on all matters of doctrine is the Bible.
3. Two Sacraments – Baptism, Communion (Lord’s Supper).
4. Jesus is present in “a spiritual and heavenly manner”.
5. Methodists do believe it's possible to reject Christ after salvation and still wind up in hell
6. They do not recognize the authority of the pope as their spiritual head
7. Hymns are important in all branches of Methodism.


Bottom Line
The United States remains a largely Christian nation; more than nine in 10 Americans who have a religious identity are affiliated with a Christian religion.
Mormons remain the most religious group of those measured, while Jews are the least. Protestants and Muslims continue to be slightly more religious than Catholics.
