Daugavpils Medical College

Daugavpils Medical College was founded in 1945. It was located in a part of the building at address Varshavas street 26a. It consisted of two class-rooms and basement. The first director was Tatiana Vsesvjatska. At the beginning only 54 students studied here. The duration of studying was 2 years and that’s why the first graduation took place in1947.
From 1954 the establishment began teaching not only medical nurses, but doctor’s assistants as well. The last graduation was in 1987.
Many Daugavpils Medical College graduaters successfully entered medical institutes and gained the profession of doctors and now they work at medical establishments of Daugavpils. Since 2004 the medical school has become Daugavpils Medical College.
Nowadays the college realizes three programms of the first higher education level. The total number of students is 263.

Accreditation: the program is accredited till 31 December, 2012.
