Good morning, I am going to tell you about Croatia

1.AIM
The aim of my work was to explore and desribe tourism development in Croatia

2.TASKS
The tasks were:
To find out information about tourism destinations in Croatia (it means, to find out which are the most popular destinations in this country, and how many other activities are available for tourists)
To find out main trends in tourism development
To explore tourism statistics in Croatia (about inbound, outbound, domestic tourism and other accesible statistics)
And in the end to come to conclusions

3.GENERAL INFORMATION
Republic of Croatia is a Central European and Mediterranean country, bordering Slovenia in the west, Hungary in the north, Serbia in the east and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the south. Croatia also has a long maritime border with Italy in the Adriatic Sea. The capital of Croatia is Zagreb – the economical, cultural and academical centre of the country and highest peak of the country is Dinara.
Croatia ranks among Europe`s prime holiday destinations. Croatia offers mild climate, interesting cultural heritage, remains of ancient Roman and Greek cities, protected environment, nature beauties and different free-time activities.

4.STATISTICS
Now I will tell you about the statistics of Croatia tourism development rates
In 2006 Croatia had seen a record 10,4 million tourists (which was a 4% rise from 2005)
From all tourists foreign holiday-makers accounted for 8,7 million (which is 2% rise from 2005)
And the number of Domestic tourists climbed by 13% to 1,7 million tourists
The Revenues form tourism trade came to 8,6 billion euros
Germans, Italians, Slovenes account for about ½ from all visitors
Highest growth in tourist arrivals achieved Japaneese with 62,9 thousands visits (it is 100% rise from 2005)…
