In 1993 Normunds Skauģis founded the “Lāči” Bread Bakery .The name is given to honor the name of his father’s house. Normunds Skauģis has learned the craft of making original Latvian brown bread from his mother. Already at 16 year old in his fathers house „Lāči”, Normunds Skauģis baked breand and sold it in the Vidzemes market.

Join stock company „Hanzas Maiznīca”
Experienced professionals in 1990. founded the bread bakery in Latvia and in the middle 1990’s “Hanzas Maiznīca” introduced itself as the bread market leader. By hard work and setting a new benchmark in the bread market, this position has been successfully maintained.
