I read a proverb once that says, "You never know how well your house is built until it is tested by the elements. Torrential rains reveal the quality of your roof. Wind and cold reveal how well your home is insulated. Heat and sun reveal the quality of your paint and siding. All these elements reveal whether a solid foundation has been laid to make your home a secure and lasting place to live." The point is not that I am trying to build a house, but to test out my ideas in improving the score of Northern Trust IDS-Global International, and to diminish the gap. In the end, I believe that these three steps can increase analysts' satisfaction and commitment toward work. This does not necessarily mean that the stress level will be reduced, but knowing that analysts are working hand in hand with management as a support may boost the sense of belonging within the department. Management, henceforth, improves the intrinsic reward value of the analysts.…
