Conclusion
The difference in education from the good old days to modern day is that today's work is a lot more complex and can get you further in life. Earlier in the 20th century there weren't even any subjects, students were just taught necessary things like spelling, history, reading and sums. Also, some of the subjects that they used to learn in the good old days are only learnt in years 11 and 12.
In modern day there is also extensive subjects available to expand your variety of learning including Metalwork, Woodwork, Computing, Media, L.O.T.E, Music, Drama and Art. Teachers have improved a lot over the years and provide students a lot better education since they have to reach a certain qualification before teaching. School days and hours are reasonably the same but class sizes were significantly bigger back then as they had to fit a lot of children into a single school.
The basic family diet has not changed that much over the years. Families still eat a lot of meat, fruits and vegetables, although we eat a lot more of pasta now than we did back then (I don't even think they had pasta). Treats for kids are also a lot more regular now than they were back then. Most meal times have stayed the same except for dinner, which is eaten a bit later now.
