A political party is a group organized to support certain policies or questions of public interest. These issues could be of peace, war, tax, how people earn their money, and more. For example, tax is one of the most important issues facing Americans today. Do we tax higher or lower? Parties give their own views on each discussion and the people vote for the side they believe in.
Many people support political parties and many do not. Our first President of the U.S. George Washington said to beware of "Faction" in his Farewell Address. Some opposed and others agreed, this lead to the creation of the two most important political parties ever created, the Democrats and the Republicans. Both groups hsve their likes and dislikes and the people's vote helps resolve the conflict.
