Consequences of road rage
The fact that road rage is phenomenon that has received more attention only in the past 10 years (much due to the efforts of media) than it did before explains why we didn't find relevant information of this phenomenon concerning Morocco. But hopefully, we were able to find information and statistics of road rage concerning other countries. Consequently, our study of the consequences of road rage will concern Canada and United States.
In Canada, 72.9% of reported road rage cases, involved nonfatal injuries and 6.8% involved deaths. All of the reported injuries were serious and required medical attention. Only 3.4% of reported cases involved injury to pedestrians and 96.6% involved injury to drivers or passengers. The most common injuries occurred as a result of beatings with fists, bats or clubs. 5.1% of the 6.8% that involved death involved shootings and 1.5% concerned a heart attack. In 72.9% of those cases, criminal charges were laid, usually assault, manslaughter or dangerous driving, because there is no charge specifically for "road rage."
