A final choice that we made as a group involved the dress at the beginning of the scene. The speech Medea makes directly after our excerpt is where she outlines how she is going to kill the princess. This gave us the idea that we could connect our scene to the larger play and also show how this scene differs in mood. For the entire play there is a theme of killing and death, and this scene is unique because it is not like the rest of the play. By having the idea with the dress it opens the scene goes away then comes back, if that makes any sense. The dress was out way of connecting our excerpt to the rest of the play as well as showing the different mood in this excerpt from everything else in the play.
The speech from lines 708 to 718, took me a very long time to understand and figure out how to act it. …
