Underlying reasons to go to the cinema
I think that the cinema represents an escape from the normality.
The cinema tells histories, it makes you cry, it makes you dream, it transports the individual to a different world, away from daily problems.
As every other commercial product, a film is thought and created based on the needs of the individuals and on their necessities.
A person can go to see a horror film and it shows the desire to look for something that frightens him, a desire to escape from the monotony of the everyday life, problems, a life where experiences always have a happy ending.
A person can go to see a film of science fiction or fantasy and it shows the desire to escape from the reality to have entirely new extraordinary and challenging experiences different from the norm.
A cartoon is instead for a small child an extraordinary world, new in which to make to wander his/her own imagination but it could also be for an adult person a way to return to childhood.
The cinema emanates emotions and as a normal commercial product, the spectators reflect on themselves.
Thoughts, Emotions and Social Classes
Going to see a particular film depends on the personality and emotions of the individual, his/her conception of the reality and also his/her conception of the society and his/her group of affiliation.
