Conclusions
This experiment found the Bradford assay to be the best. It simple to prepare, quite fast and has an acceptable level of sensitivity and accuracy. The biuret assay was found to be the least sensitive assay. It was reasonably fast but unreliable as it worked quite well for one sample but not all for the other two. But this could also be due to human error. It was also found to be inefficient, as it required a lot of protein. The Folin-Lowry assay worked reasonably well but was inconvenient, quite tedious and time-consuming to prepare while the UV assay lacked sensitivity and had the drawback that it only gave an estimation of the concentration. Its one big advantage, though, was that samples could be easily recovered.
