Could I have your attention please!

As my theme I have chosen electronic entertainment as I am really interested in this subject.
Generally by electronic entertainment we understand PC and console games and main objective of this presentation is to introduce you to these games, telling to you the main points for and against them and giving you a sneak preview of games categories. Perhaps we can leave any questions you may have until the end of the presentation. OK?

Let’s start.
Nowadays we live in a world that offers more and more entertainment possibilities. As one of them we can mention electronic entertainment. We can play games on a PC or plug in a console in a TV set or just use a mobile phone to play games and in other ways entertain ourselves. Certainly the most popular are 3D games on PC. Is there anyone in this audience who haven’t played any 3D game? No! So let’s move on.

As everything in entertainment area games also can be divided in several groups. Most popular are 3D shooters that attract people from 10 years age to even 70 year old. And that’s where main ethical problem appears: is it normal that school age children are spending a lot of time killing alien monsters? Opinions differ: there are ones that claim that it is bad for their psychological development – children are getting used to killing and they might start thinking that they can always just “load” and that may refer negatively to their real life (the border between these two worlds might disappear).
